Thank you for your visit during the Préventica fair that took place in October 2016 in Rennes !

Preventica, exhibition for health at work and prevention of profesionnal risks.

We were very glad to welcome you on our stand and to show our products.

Use a headlamp with a helmet ? Nothing is easier now thanks to the CLICAS bracket developped by LAGO Pro !
The last lamp in the LAGO Pro range is now available.

LED lighting

LED have multiple uses (equipment display, calculators, clocks, measure instruments dispaly, emergency lighting,  head lamps). So far, they concerned only a  reduced market reduced in the field of the general lighting.  The création of white LED a few years ago transformed its potential.

A classic incandescent light bulb shines by carrying a strand of tungsten in a high temperature. The bright return is particularly bad. Furthermore, the rise in temperature of the strand is made mostly very brutally, with a risk of destruction of the strand.

LED are considered as the biggest revolution in lighting technology since Edison invented the light bulb.

LED are going to revolutionize our way enlighting our home, in our cars, in stores and in our cities. The innovation allowed by the LED is going to take multiple forms: the lights are going to adapt themselves for example automatically at the time of the day, by creating colors and effects which suit in our activities or in our humor of moment.

LED are small, strong and their energy efficiency is very high. Considering their enormous potential to reduce energy consumptions and indirectly CO2 emissions, they also represent an excellent environmental choice.

LED technology dates of 1970's and was initially used for the signalling system, for example in the domestic equipments. During the last ten years, considerable progress was achieved in LED technology offering the possibility of using them as light source in illuminations. Untill 1990s, LED was however available only in red or green. As soon as the first blue LED was developed, it became possible to create a white light (on the basis of a mixture of red, green and blue or on the basis of blue with addition of phosphor)

LED benefits :

  • They are small, strong, with an increasing energy efficiency ;

  • They are more economic than numerous light sources, particularly if we also take into account the optical efficiency ;

  • They are based on a low voltage technology. There are safer and easier to use ;

  • They continue to develop : the level of efficiency is doubling every other year approximately ;

  • They open the way towards new applications, especially in emerging markets. They allow particular new forms of lighting in rural zone in the countries where electricity supply is limited.

A few advantages of LED with regard to the conventional lighting :

  • 100.000 hours life cycle ;

  • over 150 lm/W for a LED lamp ;

  • Their maintenance cost is lower ;

  • LED lamps energy efficiency is higher than the incandescent or halogen lamps ;

  • They offer lively colors and saturated without use of filters ;

  • They are strong and anti-vibrations ;

  • They ignite immediately, getting a frank color......

"Approximately 15 % of the energy is converted in visible light, the rest is dissipated in heat"

A LED (light emitting diode) is a diode which emits some light during the passage of an electric current. Contrary to the classic incandescent lamps, they have no strand which wastes away and do not become ardent. They ignite by the movement of electrons in the semiconductor and they owed as long as a standard transistor.

The return on lamps to LED is more interesting than that of light bulbs without reaching(affecting) however that of the phenomena of fluorescence (fluorescent lamp, compact fluorescent light bulb).

The life cycle of LED is more important than for these last two mechanisms with a certain advantage, the LED suffers in no way alternations ignition / extinction.
